Projects

BOEC works with a number of partners to enrich the lives of young people across Birmingham.  The projects we take part in include:

TOAD – The Outdoors Against Drugs

A rolling project in partnership with Aston Pride, working with schools in the Aston area of Birmingham.  The preventative project works with young people aged between ten and thirteen, and offers a range of outdoor activities including skiing, canoeing, problem solving and offers a number of residentials. The project allows young people to experience activities within Birmingham through schools, helping to improve school attendance and behaviour. The project aims to build self-confidence and self-esteem, promote active and healthy lifestyles and empower young people to take responsibility for themselves and others.

Quinzone

We work in partnership with the UK’s first Safe Haven project, a West Midlands Police initiative based in Quinton.  The project aims to prevent young people drifting into crime, and we provide a range of outdoor activities and residential experiences.
