Coopers Mill

[Pictures]

Our rustic Coopers Mill Cottage is located deep in the Wyre Forest on the Worcestershire Shropshire border. It is available for use by organised parties for adventure training, camping and similar organised recreation on a week or weekend basis.

There is basic indoor sleeping accommodation for ten young people plus two leaders, with ground space provided for tents. Cooking facilities and crockery are sufficient for double this number. Mains electricity is connected and there are washrooms, showers and toilet facilities

The present building was a miller’s cottage. The old mill was powered by Dowles Brook, but was demolished as unsafe in 1967. Knowles Mill, half a mile down stream, has been restored by the National Trust, and is an example of what the original Coopers Mill cottage would have looked like 150 years ago.
